THE BORDERS
Do borders really exist ?
Are they really important ?
And aren't they overrated by us ? These questions will arise in your mind when you will go through the following story .
STORY :
Megan had just got a new job and had to shift from her native country to India . Thus, to find a new accommodation she came to India where she had to work .
Megan was very close to the heart of her mother and her mother didn't allow her to stay alone at an unknown nation and said that she would only come back when Megan will get a good accommodation ! Thus her mother and she decided to find the accommodation in Delhi .
Even After many efforts they were unable to find a good place.
Thus, they got disappointed and decided to travel back to their country. At that time suddenly , her mother saw an advertisement in the newspaper that , there was a good place to live nearby . Megan's mother said , " We should check it out before leaving ." Thus they went to that house and saw that, it was a lavishing house, and even the rent was affordable for them . Thus, Megan decided to live there . As decided, her mother had to leave and Megan was in a hurry to drop her .
She knocked the door and an old women came out . Megan told her everything and was about to leave that, the women said ,
' child, atleast check it from inside before making the deal . ' Megan was aware that it was a 2BHK house but still she decided to go inside.
After going inside she was totally shocked because there was only one huge hall and only borders were marked stating
bedroom 1, bedroom 2 , kitchen ,etc.
Megan got angry and said to the old women ' What the hell is this ? '
Firstly the women remained silent and looking in eyes of Megan she said , " If the borders those i created are not fair , then how those borders which mankind created are considered fair ? The god had not separated the globe then , how we got separated on the name of caste, country , religion and what not . You won't understand what borders mean to me ,
NOTHING ! "
{as the old women had lost her husband who was serving the Indian Army}
This story really makes us think on the questions above .
Thus respect those soldiers who suffer sleepless nights to assure us a good night sleep !
